• Enhances the authentication level - Provides applications with a two-factor authentication scheme by what the user knows and what the user has (in this case, a mobile phone) . Users may need to enter a PIN to issue a one-time password to their cell phone which has been registered with SecuSURF. A new password is issued in real-time at the userís request. This prevents unauthorized access associated with traditional single-password systems when the password is stolen. Once a one-time password is used, it becomes invalid and is discarded. Unused passwords are expired to increase security.

  • Reduces enterprise security cost - SecuSURF can significantly reduce a companyís total cost associated with procuring conventional one-time password generation devices, distributing these devices to the end users, and providing support for the devices. In addition, conventional tokens may need to be replaced periodically and can also be lost easily. The SecuSURF solution provides a one-time password solution using the userís existing mobile phone, thereby eliminating the costs associated with tokens.

  • Provides ease of use for users - One-Time passwords are issued to usersí mobile phones which they are already familiar with. Users do not have to learn how to operate and/or carry another device. There is no software to install on the mobile device. This eliminates user frustrations with installing/upgrading software and incompatibility problems.

  • Supports wide range of devices - A wide range of applications are possible because userís can use almost any mobile device to receive a one-time password. In addition, SecuSURFís ability to issue one-time passwords via SMS enables virtually all devices capable of receiving SMS messages to be used. For users without mobile phones, an integrated voice response (IVR) front-end can be added to SecuSURF to provide more interoperability with regular phones. SecuSURF also has the ability to use traditional tokens.

  • Easily integrates with other applications - SecuSURF provides a SOAP interface for seamless integration with applications. It does not matter what language the application is written in, as long as it can access a SOAP library to communicate with SecuSURF. Currently, there are SOAP libraries for almost all languages.
